Before 9am

I have not been able to update this blog in a while. We have been doing school everyday as normal, but it has been challenging with a toddler or should I say with Lillian, because I don't think all toddlers are like her.
Before 9 am this morning she had a mound of apple sauce in her hair, threw her buttery waffle pieces all over the floor that I just cleaned and took her diaper off and peed on the floor.
Elliot is doing well with school even though it may take some convincing to get going each day, we still complete all the work (so no worries there for anyone who may be concerned), he is almost done with his first math book and can count by 5s, 10s, count pennies, nickels and dimes, measure inches, as well as addition. We have been reading more about the weather and learning the meaning of words such as evaporate, dew, fog etc. We are still in the bible part of history and still learning a new bible verse each week. He has been learning his letters, doing thinking skills and fine motor skill activities. And of course phonics.
Next wednesday we have a field trip to 7 Acre Wood http://www.7acrewood.org in Conroe that Jeremiah will hopefully be attending with us and the rest of the week I have some fun things planned for us.  This is because we can take those extra days off since we started school in July and I think we need a little break.
So if I don't answer the phone, you know why. If I don't have butterfly and rose stories, you know why. If you come to my house and I have a mountain of dirty clothes, you know why. One of the tough determining factors for us when we were deciding to homeschool is that we do not have a good local support group and it is proven to be just as difficult as I imagined.

I know I have more pictures but at this moment, I don't have time to find them…. Here is Elliot doing math outside since it was such a beautiful day.
